This Friday's teachers' day celebration. We're gonna go back to MI to visit our fellow juniors and our teachers! =) After which we may be going to Ms Gan's house again to pay her a visit. But that depends on how she's feeling on Thurs. That's Plan A.
For Plan B, if we can't go and visit Ms Gan, we'd go for lunch! Haha. Sebastian owes me 2 treats. Lol. =P
Hmmm. Been in school for like the 5th week. All's well. Taking 4 foundation units this year - Econs, POA, PBF, Maths1/Stats1. It's still cope-able (if there's sucha word that is) cos it's still the start of it. We shall see how it goes....
My Taiwan's trip is about 2+ months away... so can't wait! ;)

So we went to visit Ms Gan last friday night. We being me, Xinyi, Sebastian, Intan, Stacy, Ignatius, Sizhu, Lynn. Tessa, angela and renfeng can't make it.
She seems energetic and stuff. Her face's visibly swollen, and she can't see properly. so ya. she told us everything.
a hand-made card was given to her which included our blessings. also, we ordered a fruit basket delivered right to her doorstep. =)
wish her the best and hopes she don't give up!

Just heard this morn that Ms Emily Gan's diagnosed with brain cancer. Prior to that, she had liver cancer. Sighs.
So I texted her, and she said that her sight is affected and that the right side of her body's numb, so she can't walk properly. =(
Really sad to hear that, we're gonna pay her a visit soon. Most likely this friday. If so, hopefully Jesmen can get a replacement for his night duties. Hmm.
That just goes to show how unpredictable life can be.
May God Bless her kind soul.

went to century square's nokia care centre today. finally got the chance to get my screwed up phone fixed. So there I was, thinking that I'd get back my phone in like, tops, 3 days? But guess what? I was told that currently, display screens were OUT OF STOCK! I totally like stared at the person when he told me that. Then he said that a call will be made to me when the new stock arrives. At most, 2 weeks! ergh!
so basically for these 2 weeks, I'd be stuck with my sister's phone.
Oh ya, the best part has yet to come. The guy told me that they were gonna update my phone's software. Thus, everything in my phone memory will be totally gone. KA-POOF. GONE! oh well. So, If I were to ask you who you are, don't get offended yea. Most of my contacts are like in the phone memory.
and my mom and I decided to have mos burger take-away for lunch. Much to my disappointment, the food wasn't as good I previously tasted (i.e. in compass point). and there were no fries. the milk tea was so bland. the rice burger was a lil' overcooked. -,-
after which, we went to Giant @ Tampines. After billing, some giant staff approached me, saying that there'll be a complimentary facial once $30 is spent, i kept rejecting yet she shoved that "coupon" in my hands. I totally ignored her. Damn annoying! After that, we went to the customer svc counter to collect some stuff. Along came another and talked to my mum (i was away looking for the customer svc staff). ergh! so irritating. Please stop doing that! You're scaring ppl away!
And yea, check this out.
Slice a/some strawberries, and cover it with a mixture of pepper and sugar. The taste is divine. Seriously! I know it sounds weird, pepper? Honestly I was weirded out when my mom told me that (she heard it on a radio show), but I must say it's GREAT! So go ahead and try it and do tell me what ya think yea.
(* a small pkt of mcdonald pepper will do for one strawberry; as for the sugar, either use fine sugar or a pkt of equal - i used equal btw)

i visited sasa's new blog. haha. apparently she called me her "special someone". haha. how sweet. and i totally agree with her that it really felt like old times. I so miss it! oh well.

it was my birthday yesterday! to all the sweeties out there, thanks a bunch for the birthday wishes. =)
special thanks to tessa and angela who celebrated my birthday with me. we met up at vivo city and walked ard for a while before heading off to sakae sushi @ habourfront ctr. we stayed there for like 2 to 3 hours, yet we only ate 11 plates in total. ha! oh yea, and they surprised me with a small tiramisu from swiss bake. it tasted great, by far one of the best tiramisu-s i've tasted. =) and dinner was on them too. haha. really a BIG thank you! this is probably one of the best birthdays i had.
school started for those at rmit. uol's eCR will start (for yr1s) at 2pm, 12jul.
uni life is so starting...

well, last sat was stacy sweetie's 21st birthday! 'twas at NSRCC. her boy pok, shujian, sebas, shafa, renfeng, sizhu, fizah, kaya, pet, lynn, and me were all there. 'twas like a mini gathering for us all. =) her cake was really nice! and tasted like the one from four leaves... (tho' it's from sweetsecrets).
we left at about ten plus? her dad drove us to simei stn. Shafa, Sizhu and me took the same side... and poor sizhu and me, we had to ride all the way back to nel.... what a long ride... by the time i got home, 'twas about midnight? haha. but really had fun!
i got her a star necklace and a pair of jewelled earrings (both of which i totally love). And since i always give her 2 presents on her normal birthdays. I gave her 3 this time. The one i mentioned above, a hand-made bouquet (1st time i'm making it) and a memory scrapbook. I'm glad she LOVED it, proved that my effort didn't go to waste! =)
oh ya... and HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY STACY SWEETS!

ok, so there's no photos, apparently blogger and my laptop don't click, so ya...
well, my hair's totally short now and red... haha. some peeps would've seen it already. =)
anws, a few things to comment about today...
1) the stares in the train...I was on NEL the other day. Going back to my nest after a long day. In the somewhat crowded train, there were sudden eruptions of loud cries. Two babies were wailing away. They were both in prams, separate ones of cos'. One was pushed by their mother, the other by their domestic helper. Okay, both the mom and the maid were desperately trying to appease the two babies. And you can see from their expressions (esp the mom) that they're really embarrassed. Shouldn't we, then,
NOT stare at them then? But no... at least 10 peeps (that I saw) were staring at her! Like per-leese, she's like
so not embarrassed enough and she
so needs the attn. spare a thought for that poor lady. The most obvious one i observed was this middle-aged lady totally craning her neck and giving the "why-can't-you-just-shut-the-babies-up" look. Like it's oh-so-easy to appease those lil' things.
2) teacher's behaviourIt recently came to my attn that a teacher have been using interesting catch-phrases in class. Words like silly are oh-so-normal. But what about stupid? Idiot? Get lost? ...etc.... I know, I know, some peeps may say, "oh, kids are so pampered nowadays, these words mean nothing..." But can you imagine kids going around saying these words to their counterparts or younger siblings? [the kids i'm referring to are lower pri ones]. Kids are best at imitating, even when they so do not know the meaning of the word(s). Ain't teachers supposed to be of exemplary conduct. I know it's tough, but at least in front of the kids, during class time. Is that too much to ask?
Okay, that's all I've got for tonight. I'm dead beat...
